How can we help?

Help with One Meow: reminders, widgets, Face ID, backups, moving to a new iPhone and Honorable Kotik. Write to hello@onemeow.app and a person will answer.

Contact us

Write to hello@onemeow.app. In the app, open Settings, Help, Contact. Tell us your iPhone model and iOS version if something isn't working. Please don't send your lines; we never need them.

My reminder doesn't arrive

  • Check that notifications are on for One Meow in the iPhone's Settings, Notifications, One Meow.
  • Check that a Focus isn't silencing them at that time.
  • In One Meow, open Settings, Reminders, and set the time again.

Adding a widget

Touch and hold the Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and choose One Meow. There are small, medium, large and Lock Screen widgets. With the lock on, widgets show only your streak, not your line.

Face ID and the lock

Turn the lock on in Settings, Privacy, Security. You need a passcode set on your iPhone. If Face ID is off for One Meow, your passcode is used instead; turn Face ID back on in the iPhone's Settings, Face ID and Passcode, Other Apps.

Backing up and moving to a new iPhone

Your lines live only on your iPhone, so a backup is a file you keep. Open Settings, Your data, and tap Export my entries. Save the file to Files or iCloud Drive.

To bring it back, open Settings, Your data, Backup and restore, and tap Import a backup. One Meow shows what the file holds before anything changes. Merge keeps the newer line of each day; Replace swaps every line on this iPhone for the file's lines.

One Meow can remind you on the 1st of each month if you haven't made a backup in the last 30 days.

Honorable Kotik purchases

On a new iPhone, or after reinstalling, open Settings, Honorable Kotik, and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account. Family Sharing members get it too.

Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple. To ask for a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. More about Honorable Kotik.

Deleting everything

Settings, Delete all data removes every line, every setting and every reminder from One Meow, then starts fresh. Deleting the app does the same. There's no copy anywhere else, so export a backup first if you might want your lines later.
