Terms of Use

Terms of Use

The terms for using One Meow, the one-line-a-day journal for iPhone, and the optional Honorable Kotik purchase.

Last updated 27 October 2026.

1. Who we are

One Meow is made and published by Jane Kott (legal name Ievgeniia Onokhova). Contact: hello@onemeow.app

In these terms, “we” means Jane.

2. The licence

One Meow is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA). These terms add a few details about One Meow. If anything here conflicts with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA wins.

3. Your lines are yours

Everything you write in One Meow belongs to you and stays on your iPhone. We don't receive it, read it or claim any right to it. You're responsible for keeping a backup; see Backing up. Our Privacy Policy explains what the app stores.

4. The art

The cats, icons and drawings in One Meow are by Jane Kott and are protected by copyright. You may share screenshots and the Year in review card for personal, non-commercial use. Please don't copy, sell, trace or use the drawings to train AI models.

5. Honorable Kotik

  • Honorable Kotik is an optional, one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It is not a subscription.
  • It supports the app and its artist. It doesn't unlock any feature that other people don't have; it adds thank-you extras: a heart in Settings, extra app icons, and a special cat when it's ready.
  • The price is shown by the App Store before you buy. Payment, Family Sharing and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms; refund requests go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • You can restore it on any iPhone signed in with the same Apple Account.

6. Updates

We may update One Meow to fix things, add cats and add features. We may also change or retire features, but we won't take away your lines or your ability to export them.

7. Fair use

Please don't reverse-engineer, resell or misuse the app, and use it in line with the law where you live.

8. No warranty

One Meow is provided as is. We work hard to keep your lines safe, but we can't promise the app will be free of bugs, and to the extent the law allows we aren't liable for lost data or indirect damages. Keep backups of anything you care about. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.

9. Health

One Meow is a journal, not a medical or mental health service.

10. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
